This revolution concerns the majority of the federal states in Austria, including Vorarlberg, Salzburg, Burgenland, Carinthia, Styria, Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Tyrol. This step should simplify parking for the citizens and make it more cost -effective.

EASYPARK offers the option of changing from the cell phone app in about 120 municipalities. The new application enables users to start, stop or extend the parking process spontaneously. In addition, it is billed in the minute, so that customers only pay for the parking period actually used. However, it is important to note that there are also parking rip -off for vacationers in Austria.

A remarkable exception is the city of Vienna, in which the old cell phone type system can continue to be used. Nevertheless, Easypark is available as an alternative. Drivers have the choice between different parking methods. In addition, Vienna offers the opportunity to park for 15 minutes free of charge, provided the corresponding parking ticket was acquired.

Easypark is not only available in Austria, but also in Germany. The introduction of cross-border parking in other neighboring countries as well as ticket-free parking in numerous garages by using a camera license plate recognition is also planned. With the upcoming changes in the law, consumers have to adjust to further adjustments.
