Solemn highlights: 75 years of retirement association in Vorarlberg
The Pensioners Association Vorarlberg (PVÖ) recently celebrated its 75th birthday, and the celebrations have turned out to be great success. Over 600 members took part in a series of events that ranged from the classic concert to an exuberant dance afternoon. A cabaret with Markus Linder also attracted many interested parties. The activities also offered the opportunity for an exciting contemporary witness discussion with the association president Peter Kostelka.
The PVÖ's main actors, Manfred Lackner and Hubert Lötsch, were enthusiastic about the lively participation in the anniversary celebrations. These not only expressed various facets of the club work, but also enriched the already extensive leisure, sports and advisory services for the 50plus generation. Special thanks went to the local groups who provided an impeccable organization.
Special features of the anniversary celebration
The end of the anniversary series was presented with a competition, which was led by PVÖ general secretary Christian Rösner. During this event, Rösner acted as a "Glücksengerl". The main prize, a modern Sennheiser audio system, was won by Barbara Rauch. The transfer of the prize took place in a solemn framework at the final event shortly before the opening of an exhibition on 75 years of PVÖ in the foyer of the Klaus middle school.
With such a participation and the diverse activities, the PVÖ not only emphasizes the commitment to the older generations, but also creates a platform for exchange and coexistence within the community. The impressive ceremony suggests how important the association is for many members and what role it plays in the everyday life of the elderly.
