Discovery tour through Bludenz: Experience history and views

On September 25, 2024, a group of 16 people had the opportunity to explore the picturesque city of Bludenz. They traveled comfortably by bus and train to learn more about the rich historical and cultural treasures of the Alpine town. The first point of contact was the Nepomuk fountain, where Ms. Hildegard Burtscher's participants were warmly received.

Bludenz is known for the Majestic St. Laurentiuskirche, whose striking onion tower, together with the baroque Gayenhofen Castle, is considered one of the central landmarks of the city. The older alleys and historical walls open a window to the past and convey a lively picture of city history. Participants had the opportunity to stroll through the old goals and to admire the monuments of St. Nepomuk and the Riedmiller.

impressive views and exploration tours

For the adventurous, there was the opportunity to climb the tower of the St. Laurentiuskirche, which leads up in 137 steps. Once at the top, there was a breathtaking view of Bludenz and the surrounding mountains. This particular perspective let the visitors appreciate the alpine beauty and the structure of the city even more.

Bludenz, which acts as a small center of five adjacent valleys, offers a variety of leisure opportunities and cultural events. The group also took the opportunity for a short stop to refresh themselves and let the city's impressions work.

Before the return trip, the participants thanked Ms. Burtscher for the informative and appealing city tour. This type of excursions not only promotes interest in more local history, but also a sense of community among the participants. After an exciting day in Bludenz, the group went back to Göfis by public transport. The experiences and the newly gained impressions will certainly be remembered for a long time.
