Tragedy on the B99: Frau dies at Frontalcrash with a motorcycle!
On August 10, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the B99 between Seeboden and Gmünd in Carinthia. The incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. when a 57-year-old motorcyclist from St. Veit an der Glan drove straight into an oncoming car for a previously unknown cause. His 49-year-old partner was on board the motorcycle, also from St. Veit an der Glan.
Both occupants of the motorcycle suffered the most serious injuries in the collision. Tragically, the passenger later died in the hospital due to her serious injuries. The driver, a 45-year-old man from Spittal on the Drau, was also involved in the accident and in an alkotest it turned out that it was positive.

The B99 was closed to all traffic from 10:25 a.m. to 12:07 p.m., while the fire brigade and the first responder of the Red Cross were on site.In another incident, a 64-year-old motorcyclist crashed in Seeboden after a vehicle crashed into his motorcycle.
