On Thursday, June 27, 2025, a tragic fire occurred in Pestalozzistraße in Villach. A 48-year-old woman lost her life when a fire broke out on the 7th floor of an multi-party house. The fire brigade was alerted at 4:31 a.m. after a home smoke detector had struck in the apartment block.
