The regional conference of the Tyrolean Wirtschaftsbund recently took place in the picturesque backdrop of the Schwaz district. This meeting gathered numerous important business representatives from the region in visible at Binderholz in Fügen in order to discuss central challenges and the current political situation. Under the motto "so that it goes uphill again", the business association is actively approaching its members throughout Tyrol.

The state chairwoman, Barbara Thaler, emphasized how important it was to take the concerns of the base seriously. In a critical moment, shortly after the crucial election at the federal level, she demands a strong and determined representation for the economy. In Mayrhofen, Fügen and Schwaz, she and district chairman Alois Rainer presented the concerns of the entrepreneurs and called for the course to set the course for a successful future.

"Relief from the tax burden, less bureaucratic hurdles and a policy that responds to the economic needs must be on the agenda," explained Thaler. Alois Rainer referred to the responsibility of the Economic Association of making the voice of the domestic economy audible. "We have to make sure that our concerns not only hear locally, but also in those decisions that shape the future," he emphasized.

A central point of the discussion was the topic of performance, which Thaler emphasized. According to a current survey, 53 % of the Tyrolean population would be willing to work more if politics sets the relevant incentives. "Performance is not a sure -fire success - no profit without profit, without profit," Thaler summarized the basic attitude. The economic success depends on the commitment of people and a redesign of the framework conditions are urgently necessary.

"Now is the time to modernize the policies, to reduce bureaucracy and finally create clarity," Thaler appealed to the federal government. The Economic Association wants to stay on these topics and drive a positive development for the economy in Tyrol.
