School championships in Cross Country: Triumph Lienz talent!

The Tyrolean school championships in Cross Country took place on Tuesday, where students from all over Tyrol fought for the title. With 616 participants, the event stood out as an intensive sporting challenge, in which three schools from Lienz also play a lot. The competition was carried out in the team competition, with each team consisting of five runners and the best four players were evaluated.

Especially the boys of the Federal Gymnasium/Federal Real Hymph School of Lienz stabbits in the lower level category. Her impressive achievements, ran by Jonas Gomille, Emanuel Gander, Matthias Obrist, Jonas Perfler and Noah Patterer, led to a glorious victory and win of the gold medal. The girls from the high school also performed strong performance and took seventh place with Julia Gander and Co. In the same category, the younger ones, represented by Hannah Ameseder, Frieda Lumasegger and others, also in seventh place.

The Lienz trade academy competed with several teams in the upper level and was also able to celebrate remarkable success. The girls' team, led by Fabiola Fortschegger, the fastest, secured the Tyrolean championship title, supported by their teammates Lia-Kyrie Lerchbaumer, Anja Lukasser and Fabien Sapperer.

The second girls' team achieved the bronze medal with Johanna Golger, Livia Oberhamer, Naya Okla and Stella Kristel. The boys were also successful and won the silver medal with Fernando Freitag, Felix Angerer and Co. Their remarkable mileage illustrated the high level of the Lienz athletes.

In the upper level in the sporty -oriented upper level, the Borg Lienz boys' team shone. Composed of Samuel Lexer, Klemens Steiner, Matteo Walder, Christian Oppeniger and Andreas Gradnig, they secured the Tyrolean championship title. The girls' team around Julia Heregger, who also won the day's victory in their category, also celebrated a sensational triumph.
