Lienz schools triumph at Tyrolean Cross Country Championships
At the Tyrolean school championships in Cross Country, which took place in Schwaz on Tuesday, October 22nd, the students from Lienz were able to achieve great success. With a total of 616 participants, the athletes from the schools BG/BRG Lienz, HAK Lienz and Borg Lienz competed against each other in a team event. The competitions were designed in such a way that each team consists of five runners, the fastest four of whom came into the rating.
In the lower level category, the boys of the BG/BRG Lienz showed outstanding services. They prevailed against 16 other schools and secured the championship title with a brilliant performance. The team members Jonas Gomille, Emanuel Gander, Matthias Obrist, Jonas Perfler and Noah Patterer ran an impressive route and secured the gold medal. Their age comrades, on the other hand, had a little harder, but at least took seventh place in the same category. The boys of the lower level (1st and 2nd classes) also reached seventh place.

At HAK Lienz, both girls and boys teams started in the upper level. The girls' team impressed with strong performances and celebrated a clear victory with Fabiola Fortschegger, who finished the latest day. The other team members, Lia-Kyrie Lerchbaumer, Anja Lukasser and Fabienne Sepperer, supported them for a superior triumph. Another HAK team, consisting of Johanna Golger, Livia Oberhammer, Naya Okla and Stella Kristel, was able to fight for a great third place. The boys of the HAK also ran a strong race and scored the silver medal with Fernando Freitag, Felix Angerer, Johannes Guschelbauer, Julian Berger and Nico Auernig.

Samuel Lexer, Klemens Steiner, Matteo Walder, Christian Oppeniger and Andreas Gradnig could not be beaten in their competitive group and secured the championship title with sovereign performance. The Borg girls' team, which also won a great victory with Julia HEREGGER, who also ran the fastest time in its category, demonstrated the strength of the Lienz schools. Her teammates Carina Kollreider, Elena Webhofer, Laura Weingartner and Lorena Kollreider also contributed to this remarkable success.
