Enthusiastic about the cross: Volksbühne Aschau invites you to re -perform 2025

The Volksbühne Aschau triggered a remarkable echo with its performance of "Kreuzzzlechchen". After 14 sold -out performances, the theater group draws an extremely positive conclusion. The piece addresses the dark chapters of history during the Hitler dictatorship and combines them with current social issues, which has touched the audience emotionally and intellectually.

Visitors from all over the Zillertal and Tyrol, including remote regions such as the Ausserfern and the Ötztal, traveled to deal with the demanding topic. "Our intention was to shake up, toast discussions and keep the memory awake," explains the team of the Volksbühne Aschau and emphasizes the importance of critical theater today.

strong reconciliation and nomination

The staging under the sensitive director of Martina Keiler was particularly praised. Your revision of the piece that produces current covers, as well as the outstanding acting achievements of the actors have made a lasting impression. Among the guests were also prominent personalities such as author Stefan Hellbert and the festival manager Edi Hochmuth, which gave the occasion additional meaning.

Another highlight was the nomination of the Volksbühne Aschau for the Tyrolean Volksbühnen Prize 2024. This award is a significant honor for the small layperson and shows the high level of its productions.

additional performances and cultural highlights

Due to the great demand and the long waiting list, the piece is listed again. As part of the cultural days of the Volksbühne Aschau, the new performance dates are set to 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st March 2025. In addition to the theater performances, there will be a reading by Martina Keiler, accompanied by musical interludes, as well as a concert with Michi Gruber and a song evening with Sophia Keiler in the parish church of Aschau. The latter is particularly important because the singer Sophie Keiler, trained in the opera, comes back to the stage of her homeland after a long time.

A big thank you goes to everyone who contributed to the success of the performance, both in front of and behind the scenes. The sponsors, the municipality of Aschau and the Bauhof team, who have largely taken care of the provision of the infrastructure and meals, are particularly appreciated.
