Mayor Andreas Haas describes the project as "real milestone for Gerlos". A total of 122 residential units are planned, including 88 special employee apartments. support from the local economy
Mayor Martin Kammerlander, himself a innkeeper, emphasizes the support of the tourism companies that stand behind this community solution. He explains: "With the provision of corresponding quality accommodations, we will be much easier to acquire appropriate specialists in the future." This statement illustrates how important the creation of living space is for recruiting workers in the tourism industry.
The project also includes the construction of a three -story central garage that will offer more than 236 parking spaces. This should not only help the residents, but also help to relieve the town center and reduce traffic in the community.
The planning of the overall project was taken over by the Innsbruck architecture firm Stoll.wagner+Partner. The six trapezoidal residential buildings are designed so that they fit easily into the landscape by varied in position and height. At the top of the underground garage are spacious green and recreation areas that should offer future residents a high quality of life.
NHT managing director Johannes Tratter is optimistic and emphasized: "With this construction project, the municipality of Gerlos brave new ways. As with many major projects, there were critical voices in advance. However, we are convinced that the project will inspire everyone involved after completing its completion." The key handover to the new residents is planned for autumn 2025, which promises another positive outlook on the development of the living space in the region.
The construction project has already taken up a sum of around 38 million euros, which underlines the dimension and the significant investments in the infrastructure of Gerlos. It remains to be seen how this project will change the living situation in the region in the long term.
