Two years of caremination: successful networking in East Tyrol

In October 2022, the coordination center for care and support in East Tyrol was launched. This facility, which the coordinator Claudia Obererlacher and Elisabeth Ranacher is led by, has set itself the goal of networking the various actors in the nursing sector and offering comprehensive support for those affected and their relatives.

Recently there was a networking meeting of all system partners: inside in the Lienz district, in which the second birthday of this important facility was celebrated. State coordinator Gabi Schiessling emphasized the valuable cooperation and the common commitment to ensure the best possible care for those affected. "Only together can we do the best possible for those to be cared for and their relatives in the district," she said.

In just one year, 2024, the coordination office already recorded over 200 first contacts. These included 42 telephone information talks and over 100 consultations on site. The coordinators also accompanied 63 case management cases and carried out 94 home visits. These impressive figures illustrate the importance of the coordination center in the care and advice of institutions, hospitals and caring relatives in the district.

A significant part of the client: inside was over 65 years old, who often needed support in the nursing sector. The consultations often included nursing challenges and questions on social law and financial issues. "Very often we have advised on financial support and help in the past two years," explained Claudia Obererlacher and added that it is not just about the search for help, but also about how it is financially wearable.

The coordinators have processed numerous applications together with the relatives and those affected in the past two years. "We have become an indispensable point of contact," said the two coordinators. The need for information and support in the care sector is growing steadily, and the coordination site is ready to continue to meet these requirements.
