Unjust salary reform: Is the nursing staff in Tyrol disadvantaged?

In a dramatic advance, the Fritz list appealed to the defects in the health sector on February 28, 2025 in Lienz. Andrea Haselwanter-Schneider, party chairman and member of the state parliament, vehemently criticized the salary reform of the Tyrolean state government, which was presented in November 2024. Contrary to the expectations of Haselwanter-Schneider, the 18.3 million euro package lacked decisive adjustments for long-time employees: "Dümmer cannot be made a salary reform," she emphasized. In the BKH Lienz, only 40 percent of employees benefit from the new salary regulations, while experience has shown that a diploma nurse at the age of 35 earns less than a new colleague.

The employees concerned are unsettled and dissatisfied. The Fritz list therefore calls for decisive changes to the salary structures. In particular, a subsequent change of the salary system is targeted, which should enable employees to decide annually whether a change to the new system would be advantageous. Haselwanter-Schneider also emphasized another problem: the insufficient consideration of the changing times during working hours, especially compared to the Tyrol clinics. Here the list Fritz calls for a uniform solution for all district hospitals.

Support for small business owners

In parallel on the health issues, the Fritz list also focused on the situation of small business owners in Tyrol. The Chamber of Commerce is intended to represent the interests of over 51,000 companies, with the majority operating as one-person companies or small businesses. According to the Fritz list, a reduction in bureaucracy and funding through tax relief is sought. "We offer ourselves as a listener and supporter," says the party, which requires a bonus for companies to train the apprentices to strengthen the economic diversity in Tyrol, as is reported on listefritz.at
