Cultural diversity in Lienz: autumn concert and other highlights
in Lienz is always going on, and the event calendar reveals that many exciting events for young and old are on the program until 2025. A highlight is already around the corner: On Saturday, November 9th, the city music Lienz invites you to its traditional autumn concert in the city hall. Under the direction of Kapellmeister Magdalena Pircher and chairman Bernhard Tiefenbacher, the concert will start at 7:30 p.m. The tickets are available for 15 euros in the Liebburg Citizens' Service Office. Pupils, students, as well as other groups with proof can participate for only 13 euros.
A few days later, on Tuesday, November 12th, there is a special performance for the smaller guests: The children's play "I have a little problem, said the bear" is listed in the Kolping Hall. Based on the children's book of the same name by Heinz Janisch, the Theater Feuerblau receives children from the age of four. On November 16, actress Birgit Minichmayr is in the city. She will read Alan Bennett at 7 p.m. in the city hall of the novel “The Sovereign Reader” and accompanied Sonare and the string quartet Sonare. Tickets are available for this in advance for 20 euros, while they cost 25 euros at the box office.
Another highlight is the Advent concert "Every year again - Christmas music for kids", to which the Landesmusikschule Lienz Talboden invites you on December 7th at 5 p.m. Entry is free, but voluntary donations are requested for the music school.

Special musical accents sets the Advent concert of the Chamber Choir Vokalissimo Lienz on December 14th, at the center of which the "Oratorio de Noël" by Camille Saint-Saëns is. The year ends with a festive New Year's concert: On January 24, the city music band Wilten will play under the direction of Kapellmeister Raimund Walder in the city hall. The program includes a mixture of classic and contemporary compositions, including works by Handel, Rossini and Lehar. Ticket sales also run via the citizens' service office, where tickets are available by January 23 at the advance sales price of only 25 euros.
