In an exciting competition, the Floorball team "Hak Kings" from Lienz was reverberating the title of the national champion in floorball for the first time. On November 19, 2024, eight teams competed in Innsbruck, whereby the team from East Tyrol showed an impressive performance by remaining unbeaten in four games.

The HAK Kings, led by captain Felix Neumayer, already overcoated the defending champion in the first round, the "HTL cracks". In this intoxicating game, they kept their nerves and secured their way into the later games with a narrow 4: 3 victory. The tension was noticeable until the end when the HAK Kings defended a comfortable lead against the strong opponent.

The women's team "20 × 6", which also competed for HAK Lienz, secured third place. Led by captain Fenja Wibmer, this team also performed strongly. In addition, the second boys' team, the "HAK Königen" with captain Dominik Broz, reached fourth place. Sports teacher Josef Dullnig was visibly pleased with the impressive results of his protégés and emphasized the importance of community efforts and team spirit in this competition.

The HAK Lienz teams have now proven that they have to be taken seriously in the Tyrolean floorball scene, and they have fought a bit in the history of sport.
