Festival service for the consecration of the new organ in St. Marien: a musical event
in the parish of Lienz/St. Marien is a very special event on the program: On Sunday, November 17, 2024, a new chest organ from the renowned house of organ building Linder is ceremoniously inaugurated. This rare event will take place as part of a festival service at 10.30 a.m., which will surely be both musically and spiritually enriching.
The organ is brought to sound for the first time by Lukas outdorfer, a native of Lienzer and talented organist. In addition, the service is accompanied musically by the choir of St. Marien, under the direction of Alois Wendlinger and by the St. Marien orchestra. Together they will perform Joseph Haydn's “small organ fair”, which will certainly be a very special experience for everyone present.
