Tyrol's communities benefit from 50 million euros in funding
The Tyrolean state government recently decided to have a significant financial initiative that benefits the support of the communities. With the approval of over 50 million euros from the municipal equalization fund, important municipal projects are to be funded. These funds are intended for essential infrastructures, including flood protection, educational institutions and fire brigade infrastructure.

The 50 million euros provided are distributed to different areas:
- 46.12 million euros for general needs assignments
- 687,560 euros for fire service purposes
- 2.1 million euros from the hospital quota
- 2.77 million euros for educational and care facilities
- 215,000 euros as Covid-19 special funding
This financial support aims to address different needs of social life in the Tyrolean communities. In particular, the focus is on safety -related projects that help the communities to be able to react better to unexpected events.
Use of the funding according to districts
A closer look at the distribution of funding shows significant investments in the districts:
Innsbruck-Land receives 8.1 million euros, which will flow into the construction of a bike path in the Stubai Valley and the renovation of an old people's home. 1.8 million euros are planned for educational institutions.
Innsbruck-Stadt comes to 3.2 million euros that are used for road construction projects and the improvement of the cycle path network.
Imst receives 4.2 million euros for projects such as the new parish hall in Arzl and accessibility measures. In addition, 285,000 euros are available for fire departments.
In the district landeck , 3.8 million euros are used for the renovation of the Gerber Bridge and other important infrastructure projects.
in lienz 4.4 million euros flow into the expansion of the Kulturstadl, while Kitzbühel receives 4.1 million euros for the renovation of municipal roads.
Likewise, Kufstein is supported with 3 million euros, primarily for PV systems and other local projects, and reutte can use 3.3 million euros for wastewater disposal. The Schwaz district is considered with 12.1 million euros to realize urgently needed renovation projects.
