Free travel on the Euregio Mobility Day: Discover Tyrol-Südtirol-Trentino!
An exciting event is imminent: On Saturday, November 9th, the Euregio Mobility Day will take place, in which the use of local public transport in the Euregio Tirol-Südtirol-Trentino is free. This applies to everyone who has a valid public subscription. This enables the citizens to use the citizens as well as the guests, buses, trains and selected cable cars free of charge.
Especially the owners can enjoy this regulation: inside the Tyrolean family pass, which is also considered Euregio-familyypass, as well as the owners: inside of an public or semester ticket. Long -distance trains such as Frecciargento, Railjet, Eurocity and Intercity (IC) are excluded from this offer. A total of around 180,000 VVT regular customers and around 65,000 families with a corresponding family pass have the opportunity to benefit from the free trip that day.
votes for the initiative
Arno Kompscher, Governor of South Tyrol and President of the Euregio, emphasized the positive experiences that brought the past campaign days. He invites people to explore not only their own environment, but also the neighboring regions without a car and thus actively live the motto "overcoming borders". In this initiative, Tyrol's governor Anton Mattle sees a valuable incentive to use more public transport and thereby relieve the streets and the environment.
also Maurizio Fugatti, the governor of Trentino, emphasizes that this event is an opportunity to experience the unique cultural and political partnership between the three countries. The Euregio Mobility Day enables people to understand the identity of the Euregio and to perceive the borders as bridges between cultures.
