Young people plan chaos at the Rave im Wave - police strike!

As part of the so-called "Rave in the Wave" event, which is to take place in the disused Wörgler Hallenbad-Location Wave, two young people were recently arrested. As the Krone reports, the city of Wörgl plans to transform the sailing adventure pool into a party location. The idea arose from suggestions from the population about social media. The event is scheduled for the beginning of April and is supposed to transform the former indoor pool into a lively party zone.

The arrests were made in connection with a threat to the event. Two young people from the Kufstein district, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old, had apparently made a plan to spread panic and chaos at the "Rave in the Wave". The police confirmed that the arrests were initiated due to a reference from the population in mid -February 2025.

The investigation led to the arrest of the main suspect on March 27, 2025. His 17-year accomplice was arrested on March 28. The 19-year-old was technically able to implement his plan, because corresponding items were found during a house search. When interrogating, the main suspect stated that they were fundamentally confessed, but denied that they actually wanted to carry out their plan. The 17-year-old also admitted to talking about the plan, but emphasized that no further steps for implementation were taken.

The public prosecutor had ordered that the 19-year-old stayed in custody, whereas his accomplice was released after her survey. There is currently no evidence of a religious or terrorist motive for the plan of young people.

The Wave adventure pool, which has been closed since 2021, had to be concluded due to high renovation costs. Mayor and managing director of the bathroom believe that this event idea has found a solution for the fallow location.
