Circustage Kufstein 2025: A modern circus festival for all generations!
The circus days in Kufstein are well on the way to establishing yourself to a fixed size in the modern circus world. In 2025, from January 23 to February 2, it says again: Welcome to a festival full of acrobatics, juggling and art. With a special focus on human skills that define the modern circus, the events in the culture quarters will take place and aim to inspire people of all ages.
Almut Schobesberger, the initiator and head of the festival, explains at the press conference that modern circus performances are primarily about art. This all about the artistic skills of the performers and their impressive performances. The audience can look forward to a total of eleven demonstrations, supplemented by workshops that are also accessible to adults this time. Eight different companies will be honored and present the arts of the circus in their most diverse form.
Various offers and new workshop formats
The circus days have developed over the years, and there are exciting innovations in 2025. Various workshops are planned for the coming year that not only address children, but also offer their parents the opportunity to learn new skills. From floor acrobatics to pole dance, the offers are more diverse than ever. The “Young Circus Stars” from Berlin will also be part of the program again and cause a stir with their impressive show.
A very special focus is on the interaction with the audience. New formats such as the so -called "interactive circus show" are planned, in which the viewers are actively involved. This will also enrich the circus performances and ensure an unforgettable experience. In addition, the 2025 festival is carried out for the first time as a certified “green event”, which underlines that the organizers also rely on sustainability.
The budget for the circus days has increased compared to the previous year to 85,000 euros. This sum is evenly distributed to different cost factors, including artistic program, technology and marketing. A large part of the financing comes from public funding, sponsors and ticket sales. This financial foundation enables the organizers to offer a varied and high -quality program.
The return to the origin
The circus days are not just an event, but a cultural event that enriches life in Kufstein. The return to the roots of the circus, without the use of animals and with a clear focus on human performances, brings a breath of fresh air and new ideas into the region. Klaus Reitberger, cultural officer of the city of Kufstein, emphasizes how the idea of the first festival to today's cultural institution has developed. It is particularly valuable that the festival is also carried out in old people's homes, where circus art is brought directly to humans.
The planned events that take place in the culture of quarters are already defined and promise to offer a colorful and entertaining program for everyone. Ticket prices vary depending on the event and offer discounts for children and members of certain clubs, which makes the experience particularly accessible to families.
