Jenbach, Österreich - In Jenbach there are exciting news: after years of efforts, a position for local marketing is finally created. The step fell into the responsibility of municipal councilor Melanie Nogalo, who took over the committee for resurrection and economic development three months ago. Now the experienced Bettina Scholz, who is already known in the community, will lead the new marketing office. It faces the challenge of coordinating its previous tasks and at the same time ensuring revitalizing marketing work. This new position will play an important role in strengthening regional identity and the active organization of events to promote the economy on site, such as

At the same time, the state of Tyrol supported the creation of a documentation center on the subject of "option", which deals with an important historical chapter. In the 1930s, many South Tyroleans had to make a difficult decision: stay or emigrate. Many who went, settled around Jenbach. In cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the local museum will work more intensively on this topic in the future and process the history of these “optants”. Cultural State Councilor Beate Palfrader will ensure a comprehensive reappraisal of the past through the partnership cooperation with historians from the University of Innsbruck and the entire Association of South Tyroleans in Austria.
