Innsbruck's ice hockey crisis: Rassell and Steffler are breaking new ground!
In the turbulent environment of the Win2day Ice Hockey League, there are drastic changes at HC Innsbruck! As announces the two departures: The striker marks and Defender Kele Steffler will be handed in for the rest of the season. Rassell changes to the Nuremberg Ice Tigers to the DEL. There he meets ex-HCI coach Mitch O’Keefe, who continues to hold the reins in his hand. Steffler, on the other hand, is drawn to the Alps Hockey League, where he hires the championship leader Zeller Eisbären and thus meets his brother Devin, who also changed the club.
In the current season, both players were active for Innsbruck: Rassell collected impressive 35 scorer points in 44 missions, while Steffler only posted four assists in 35 games. "We would like to thank both actors and wish you all the best for the rest of the season," says the official announcement by HC Innsbruck. During this time of restructuring, the association is currently the bottom of the table in the league. The changes come at a crucial time while the season is approaching the final.
