Drama in the ski area: twelve -year -old falls and lies in the moat for hours!
In a dramatic skiing accident in the St. Johanner Bergbahnen ski area in Tyrol, a twelve -year -old girl was seriously injured after it was in a moat for several hours. The young skier was traveling with her 40-year-old father when she drove down on the slopes "Rote 2" at 1:45 p.m. In the event of a crest, the father lost a view of his daughter and initially assumed that she drove to the lift. However, when she was not there, he immediately alerted the rescue workers, reported the Kleine Zeitung .
The search started quickly, and around 5:15 p.m. the father, who himself is an alpine policeman, discovered his daughter about 200 meters below the crest, about 15 meters next to the slope in the ditch. The girl was seriously injured in the fall and had suffered several broken bones. After the initial supply on site, she was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck with a helicopter, as tirol.orf reported.
The incident raises serious questions about safety on the slopes, especially with regard to parent-child support when skiing. The dramatic rescue operation not only kept the family, but also the rescue workers in suspense while the girl was waiting for her rescue.
