Ambrosius celebration in Imst: A festival of beekeepers and their traditions

On Sunday, December 8th, 2024, the Beekeeping Association Imst invites you to the annual Ambrosius celebration. This important event marks the traditional annual financial statements for the beekeepers in the region and at the same time celebrates the "Thanksgiving" in honor of its patron, the St. Ambrosius.

The day begins at 8:45 a.m. with a Holy Mass in the parish church of Imst, where the participants have the opportunity to pray and reflect together. Afterwards, at 10:00 a.m., everyone gather in the "Gasthof Hirschen" in Imst to initiate the official part of the celebrations. The association's chairman will warmly welcome the guests and give a brief review of the past year, which summarizes the events and challenges that the beekeeping community has experienced.

festive exchange and lectures

The solemn framework also offers space for speeches by prominent festivals that will circulate their thoughts and assessments of beekeeping and their importance. The highlight of the event is the lecture by Mr. Gerhard Mohr, the President of the Vorarlberg beekeeping association. In his lecture, he will deal with an exciting topic: "The drohn - the known being in the bee people". This topic promises interesting insights into the role of drones in beekeeping and their importance for beekeeping.

The Ambrosius celebration is not only a review of the past few months, but also an important meeting for beekeepers to exchange ideas, network and develop ideas for the coming season. With this celebration, the bond within the community is strengthened and the appreciation for the craft of beekeeping is expressed.

Visitors are cordially invited to take part in this special day to experience the tradition of beekeeping and to appreciate the importance of bees for our environment. Further details on the event can be viewed on the platforms of the Imst Beekeeping Association. .
