After catching up: HSG Xentis Lipizzanerheimat looks optimistic about the derby
The encounter between the HSG Xentis Lipizzanerheimat and the leaders Krems brought a dramatic course on Saturday. In an encounter that deserved the title "Sleeping first half", the team from Bärnbach had to take a bitter defeat. At the time of 21:12 at halftime, the gap was nine goals, but the second half revealed a glamorous appearance of the West Styrians.
The signs from the beginning of the game were not very encouraging for the HSG Xentis Lipizzanerheimat. Coach Risto Arnaudovski had set up his first set, but after just a few minutes the team was 1: 4 behind. Despite the higher pace and some change of position, in which Patrick Palmstingl came into play for the hapless Tine Gartner, the round did not want to go to the square. All efforts seemed doomed to failure, and so the game threatened to turn into a debacle.
turn in the second half
But what happened then was literally spectacular. With a completely different face, the team stepped onto the field after the half -time break. The young talents such as Jakob Smon and again Patrick Palmstingl showed impressive performances. The differences in the way of playing was striking and so the HSG scored the goal for goal. In the end, they managed to endanger the Kremser to two goals, even though the clock continued to tick. The final score of 34:37 was the result of an impressive chase and gives hope for positive developments. Joy spread when 22 goals were scored in a half - so many this season was not so far.
Those responsible for the HSG are optimistic about the upcoming games. Despite the challenges that the last place in the table brings, the intensive preparation for the derby against the "BT Foxes" on November 16 should now be in the foreground. The team is determined to effectively use this international break and further promote the positive elements from the game against Krems. A strenuous week of training is planned to go well prepared in the next duel against the promoted from West-Wien on November 23rd.
