Room fire in Gröbming: Three injured and unknown causes
On Thursday, a family of single family in Gröbming, in the district of Liezen, occurred to a room fire in which three people were injured. Initial information indicates that the fire could have assumed a couch, but the exact cause is still being examined.
At 1:03 p.m. the fire brigade and other emergency services were alerted. The Gröbming-Winkl volunteer fire brigade immediately moved out to the fire location around 500 meters away. Operations manager Christian Prettner reported that the firefighters still put on their heavy breathing apparatus during the journey. When they arrived, the three residents were already in front of the house.
efficient reaction of the residents
The women concerned, at the age of 59, 35 and 7 years, had taken the right measures, according to Prettner, by holding the doors closed to prevent further spread of the fire. This fast reaction helped to contain the fire. The firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to penetrate the fire stove in the living room on the ground floor. Although the fire could be quickly brought under control, the emerging smoke was a bigger problem.
The three women suffered slight flue gas poisoning and were first looked after before they were brought to the Schladming deaconess hospital. The exact property damage is still unknown and the investigation into the cause of the fire is in progress. The Gröbming-Winkl volunteer fire brigade and the Gröbming fire brigade were involved in a total of 30 emergency services, while the Mitterberg fire brigade was on site with 12 people.
