Mighty fire service exercise strengthens operational readiness in the fire brigade association Feldbach
In the Feldbach fire department, an extraordinary event series recently took place: two large -scale exercises were carried out on one day. In Bad Gleichenberg, where section 3 is located, the fire brigades actively participated in order to train and improve their operational readiness.
The fire brigades St. Anna am Aigen, Frutten-Gießelsdorf and Jamm was alerted in the KLOPFING nursing home for a simulated room fire. The aim was primarily to ensure the security of the residents by being evacuated safely. Technical human rescue was also one of the challenges. A realistic scenario was played through under the direction of LM Andreas Wurzinger and 16 fire brigade members who used three vehicles. Abi Erwin Schober watched the exercise and gave valuable information for the emergency services.
fire in the hotel as a exercise location
At the same time, another exercise took place in the hotel on Therme Bad Gleichenberg. Here it was assumed that a fire broke out in the administrative area of the hotel, a scenario that is particularly important for hotel guests. Before the exercise, the guests were informed about the planned training to avoid misunderstandings. In the exercise, three missing people were reported in the smoke of the building.
The Bad Gleichenberg fire brigade was the first on site, led by OBM Erwin Luttenberger, and used two vehicles and 15 forces. In order to ensure a comprehensive implementation of the exercise, the FF Trautmannsdorf, FF Merkendorf and FF Dirnbach also moved in with a total of 41 other emergency services and several vehicles. The FF Baairisch Kölldorf also showed its operational readiness by being alerted.
A total of 52 people were deployed on this day, including members of the police inspection and the Red Cross, who supported their respective vehicles. Four respiratory protection teams entered the fire fighting and were able to find the three missing people quickly and save them from the hotel with a sling. The fire itself was quickly brought under control by an internal attack.
volunteer engagement recognized
After the successful exercises, the exercise observers thanked the participants for their commitment, which they showed in their free time. This type of use significantly contributes to improving the skills of the fire brigade. The owners of the hotel, Jörg Siegel and Daniel Freismuth, invited the emergency services to a small drink and appreciated their use with a goulash and beer. Such gestures are important to maintain the cohesion and camaraderie among the firefighters.
These exercises remind us of how important well -trained and motivated firefighters are for the safety of our community. They are always ready to help in emergency situations and to endanger themselves for the well -being of others. A comprehensive overview of the situation provides www.meinbezirk.at .
