In the municipality of St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, the local fire brigades have reason to be happy: five new team transport vehicles were ceremoniously handed over. This event took place in the presence of numerous important personalities, including deputy governor Anton Lang and Member of the National Council Franz Jantscher. Mayor Erwin Hinterdorfer, who has sustainably campaigned for the fire brigades, received the prestigious Floriani badge in gold for his efforts.

The handing of the vehicles was not only a formal act, but part of a colorful festival program that attracted many citizens. The new fleet comprises five Ford Transit Custom Kombis, which was specially designed for the needs of the five fire brigades of St. Margarethen and the surrounding towns of St. Lorenzen, Glein, Rachau and PREG. These vehicles, each equipped with 170 hp, were financed by a combination of nationwide means and contributions from the fire brigade associations.

excellent community performance

The musical framework, which was designed by the Musikverein St. Margarethen, gave the blessing of the vehicles a festive touch. Father Gabriel, who carried out the blessing, and those present recognized the great community performance that led to the implementation of this project.

In addition to the awarding of the Floriani badge, senior fire inspector Markus Haberknapp was also praised for his active support in organizing and procuring the new vehicles. This shows how important the cooperation between the various fire brigades and the community is to ensure security and efficiency in action.

The new vehicles are now ready to support the volunteers in their daily challenges and to secure the community comprehensively. Further information on this topic can be found in the reporting on www.meinbezirk.at can be read.
