Ranten celebrates the opening of the new crèche - a step into the future
In the municipality of Ranten, an important step for the future care of small children was taken. A new crèche was built on the western outskirts, which was now opened. This opening took place as part of the celebrations for the 950th anniversary of the community. The larger construction site has not been overlooked in the past few weeks, and the municipality has now celebrated the completion of the project.
The crèche is made of KLH wooden panels and already offers space for seven children, the youngest of them is only 15 months old. At the same time, a second group with 27 children is active in the neighboring elementary school. Mayor Franz Kleinferchner informed that a total of 59 children were born in Ranten in the past five years, which underlines the need for this facility. "The elementary school renovation will be completed by the end of the year," said Kleinferkner, who also mentioned that the children are now taught in the music home until the renovation work is finalized.
Financial aspects and building allocation
The total construction costs for the renovation of the school and the establishment of the crèche amount to around 3.2 million euros, with the municipality bearing a cost share of around 1.2 million euros. An important aspect in this project was the allocation of construction contracts to regional companies, which benefits the local business location. Numerous energetic measures were also implemented in the renovation, for example the installation of a new heating system and a thermal renovation.
The opening ceremony achieved additional shine due to the presence of various guests of honor. In addition to Mayor Kleinferchner, Governor Christopher Drexler also congratulated the community in the future of the place. "The children are our future, so it was a future decision to invest," said Drexler. This new facility can offer young families the perspective of staying in Ranten and shaping a future here.
The celebration of the opening also adorned the blessing of the new crèche by pastor Thomas Mörtl. Mayor Kleinferchner welcomed numerous other guests, including President of the Landtag Manuela Khom and District Caporator Deputy Gernot Esterl. The kindergarten children also contributed to the celebration with small contributions, which underlined the strong connection of the population with this new offer.
The establishment of this crèche not only stands for strengthening the infrastructure in Ranten, but also shows the efforts of the community to raise the standard of living for younger generations. With the new facility, families now have additional options and offers, which increases the attractiveness of rants for young parents.
