Festive opening of the service point in Murau: a win for the region!

A modern service point of the Chamber of Commerce recently opened in Murau. This new contact point in Schillerstrasse is intended to offer entrepreneurs in the region competent advice and support. WK President Josef Herk thanked all employees for their efforts. The service point is open two days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Chamber of Commerce has recorded a remarkable membership increase from 1,400 to 2,200 members since 2006, which shows that Murau is in second place across Styria. This proves the dynamics in the region and the cooperation between municipalities, authorities and social partners. Mayor Thomas Kalcher and other regional representatives emphasize the importance of a local advocacy to strengthen the city center and promote economic activities.

As part of the opening ceremony, seven municipalities in the district were awarded the "Golden Boden" seal of approval. This happened in recognition of her sustainable economic friendliness. Of a total of 296 submitted communities, 96 were awarded, which illustrates the high requirements. The excellent communities are Niederwölz, Ranten, Schöder, Neumarkt, Murau, Scheifling and St. Peter/Kammersberg.
