SPÖ starts election campaign for state election: Anton Lang in focus

The Styrian SPÖ gave the starting signal for its election campaign for the state election on the weekend with a larger party congress in Leoben, which will take place on November 24th. About 500 participants, including 450 delegates, came to the event that took place in the live congress. The mood was festive from the start, with musical accompaniment by the Jazz band Redpack and an extensive breakfast.

At 10.30 a.m., the SPÖ top candidate Anton Lang entered the stage together with other high-ranking party members, including the National Councilor Max Lercher. Accompanied by "Don’t Stop" by Fleetwood Mac, long applause was received. His appearance ensured an optimistic atmosphere among those present.

The state manager Florian Seifert opened the party congress with encouraging words and emphasized: "We still have all the chances of leaving the election as the strongest force." He commented critically about the comments from Governor Drexler, who promised a duel with Mario Kunasek and thus wanted to calm down the officials. Seiferte pointed out that the three main parties - ÖVP, SPÖ and FPÖ - are currently closely related in surveys. He replied: "We will make the difference in the coming weeks."

The party congress was not only the official start of the election campaign for the SPÖ, but also a sign of cohesion and determination in the party. Anton Lang, who runs as governor, received ovations already mentioned, which reflects his support within the party. The SPÖ will mobilize all their strength in the next few weeks to consolidate its place as the strongest force in the Styrian state parliament.

The event was shaped by the message: "It is time for Anton Lang: Governor." With this clear goal in mind, the SPÖ is preparing for an intensive election campaign that will be decisive both in terms of content and perception by the population.
