Election campaign final in Graz: Parties rely on the last mobilization
In Styria, the election campaign for the upcoming state parliament election on Sunday is coming to an end. The political parties rely on the last mobilization of their supporters, with numerous events and information stands on the streets and squares of the state capital Graz. The first big highlight will take place on Thursday when the Communist Party (KPÖ) opens its "Election Final Information State" from 2:00 p.m.
While the KPÖ uses its last chance to reach voters, the NEOS does not remain idle. This party presents a second wave of election posters in the morning and would like to increase voters' interest in their platform. The Greens are also active and invite you to a press conference entitled "Graz wins with green", which is supposed to draw attention to their environmental issues.
final events of the parties
An important event of these days is the campaign graduation of the Austria's Freedom Party (FPÖ) on Thursday evening. The federal party chairman Herbert Kickl will be present in the soap factory, where from 6 p.m. the top candidate Mario Kunasek, together with his officials, heralds the final sprint of the campaign. However, critical voices are also loud around this event: several organizations, including the "Grandmas Against Right", organize a demonstration entitled "Now no more than right". This movement shows that the political landscape in Styria is polarized.
It will also be exciting on Friday. The ÖVP has scheduled its election campaign at 2 p.m. on Lendplatz, followed by a meeting of the SPÖ at 3 p.m. and another event of the Greens at the main square. At 4:00 p.m. Neos is planning to officially complete the election campaign with a march through the city center.
On Saturday, the action will revive again when the DNA, a smaller election party, will end up in Herrengasse from 10 a.m. These large number of events show that in the last days before the election of each party, there is a gain in voting for themselves and to communicate their concerns clearly.
