Hass crimes in Austria: 18 arrests and numerous victims!

In a spectacular investigation against the heaviest hate crime, a total of 26 house searches were carried out in Austria in seven federal states and Slovakia on Friday. In the hands of the police, large quantities of data carriers, weapons and even Nazi devotionals were ensured. The Graz public prosecutor has already arrested 18 suspects - including twelve men and three women between the ages of 14 and 26, and the investigators assume a high number of unreported cases of other perpetrators and victims. As the Kleine Zeitung , the suspects have incorrectly subjected to their victims-mainly homosexual and also heterosexual men - to attack targeted.

The affected people were robbed, injured and humiliated, with accompaniment that even imply a murder attempt in one case. The police have renewed a call to all victims to report to the LKA in Graz because there are indications of at least 17 specific victims. According to the spokesman for the Graz public prosecutor, Christian Kroschl, some of the 13 suspects arrested in Austria are already in custody, but no further details about the persons or the specific circumstances have yet been published, since this is currently not possible for crime-tactical reasons, such as the press reported.

Investigations and other consequences

The investigation shows that the perpetrators have contacted their victims on social media via fake accounts and lured them to remote places. There, several masked attackers were waiting for them to do violence and humiliation. Large parts of the police, including the emergency services of the Cobra Command, were involved in this extensive raid, which illustrates the seriousness and extent of the Situation. The responsible LKA spokesman also asked victims to report to clarify the number of unreported cases and identify other perpetrators.
