Beer walk at Christmas time: enjoyment and stories in Graz
The pre -Christmas period in Graz offers an exciting opportunity for beer lovers this year. From November 28, 2024, a new series of events entitled "Bock on beer" invites you to a unique beer walk through the festively decorated city. The participants can immerse themselves deeply into the beer culture and the history of pleasure while experiencing exciting stories and anecdotes around beer.
The decisive factor for this beer walk are the many myths and facts that tend to be around the wintry Bockbier. What is the name "Bockbier" and why was it particularly popular with monks? These and other questions are answered by the experienced graz guides who accompany the participants on their journey through the city.
the tour and its highlights
The beer hike starts at Grazer Gut Schlossberg, where the guests are greeted by the hearty note of the Puntigam winter beer in the pleasure shop. The path leads through the atmospheric, Christmas old town towards the main square, where visitors linger at one of the popular stands at a "Gamsbock". Here a fruity wheat goat is served, which perfectly complements the pre -Christmas atmosphere.
The walk continues over the Landhaushof and the ice crèche to the Glöcklbräu, where the participants can enjoy a traditionally sticky beer and suitable snacks. This part of the tour represents a special experience and creates a sociable mood among the guests.
