Traditional building in Kalsdorf: a workshop for families

A creative event took place in Kalsdorf, in which 25 enthusiastic participants were able to design their own Christmas cribs under the guidance of the crib friends Kaiserwald. This event not only offers the opportunity to be creative, but also to keep the tradition of the crib building alive.

The experienced crib master Gerhard Eisel ensured the required materials that were available to the participants. From wood to different decorative elements, everything was provided to facilitate the production of any individual crib. It was an excellent opportunity for the participants to do handcrafted and at the same time learn more about the tradition of the crib building.

This event attracted people of different ages who all pursued a common goal: to create a personally designed crib that is reminiscent of the contemplative time of Christmas. The crib friends Kaiserwald specialize in the promotion of the crib building and enable workshops that the art of building crib is passed on.

Each participant brought their own ideas and ideas, and so a variety of unique works of art were created. Under the guidance of Eisel, the course participants were able to develop their creativity and exchange ideas about various techniques. Such events are not only instructive, but also promote the community and exchange among the participants.

The joy of creative work and the mediation of traditional craft were the focus of this event. It is gratifying that despite the modern period, the art of the crib building is still being maintained and new generations reached. The experiences and the knowledge that is conveyed in such workshops contribute to the fact that this beautiful tradition will remain alive in the future.
