Talent Days in Deutschfeistritz: promote creativity and team spirit!
The highly expected "Talent Days" recently took place in the German Feistritz middle school. This event lasted three days and was designed as an excellent opportunity for the students of the 5th and 6th school levels to discover and develop their hidden talents. The main goal of this event was not only to convey new knowledge to the young learners, but also to promote the fun of learning, which was clearly reflected in the enthusiasm of the participating children.
The "Talent Days" offered a diverse program that took place in an open learning format. The usual timetables were softened, which enabled the children to work creatively in small groups and try out different areas. Under the instructions of committed teachers, the students were able to take part in various workshops-from art to sports to the MINT subjects. Here they had the opportunity not only to test their skills, but also to discover new interests.
creativity and teamwork in focus
A highlight of the event was the practical work in workshops that included topics such as chemistry, photography and even theater. The children experimented in the chemical laboratory, cooked, carried out English exercises and wrote their own plays. These activities not only convey knowledge, but also team spirit and the joy of working together, where the enthusiasm of the children was noticeable.
Gabriele Aufinger-Gmeinböck, the cluster director, emphasized how important it was to give children the opportunity to develop. She emphasized: "This type of events impressively shows how important it is to support children in their development and give them space for development." These words summarize the essential role of the "Talent Days", which are much more than just a school activity.
A remarkable aspect of the "Talent Days" was the opportunity for the children to discover new passions and further expand their strengths. Many participants expressed the desire to further deepen the new skills in regular lessons. Fortunately, the three days were not only very well received by the students, but also with the teachers. The positive mood during the entire event was a sign that learning can also be happy outside of traditional teaching.
The German Freistritz middle school showed with the “Talent Days” that schools not only convey knowledge, but can also offer a valuable platform for creative development. A big thank you went to all organizers and participants who made this inspiring project possible.
