The "New Times Bigband" from St. Michael ob Bleiburg is facing a very special event: on October 26, at 7:30 p.m., she celebrates its 35th anniversary in Kulturni Dom in Bleiburg. Founded by Michael Vavti, who studied at the Graz University of Music and Klagenfurt, the Bigband has captivated numerous musicians and music lovers in recent decades.
Michael Vavti, even an enthusiastic jazz musician, describes the feeling that triggers the music of the big band in the hearts of the musicians: "The sound of the big band has enjoyed all musicians very well from the start and strengthened our musical passion." In this formation, well -known artists such as Tonč Feinig and Stefan Thaler have participated. Vavti emphasizes that the collaboration in a big band is a kind of “crowning” of their musical career for many musicians.
a colorful musical evening
The band's repertoire is versatile and ranges from classic jazz standards to modern arrangements. "To immerse yourself in the world of jazz is a process that opens up a new world to the musicians," explains Vavti. He is particularly proud of the young cast of his big band, in which musicians aged 23 to 25 years old. In addition, the singers of the Voxon Academy - including Lara Wulz, Natascha Stuck, Danilo Katz and Simona Krajger - will enrich the evening with their striking voices.
Under the musical direction of conductor Mario Vavti, who also works as a composer and producer in Vienna, visitors can look forward to one evening with many emotional moments. Vavti himself emphasizes: "I enjoy playing more than to stand in the front." His future arrangements should touch the audience and provide unforgettable moments.
The anniversary is a sign of the continuous transmission of jazz tradition and the promotion of young talents in the region. Jazz lovers and interested parties are cordially invited to experience this extraordinary concert and enjoy an evening full of musical highlights.
