Fire brigade Haselbach mourns the loss of founding member Franz Baumgartner

With great grief, the Haselbach volunteer fire brigade announced that its estimated comrade and founding member, chief firefighter Franz Baumgartner, died at the age of 91. This loss not only affects the fire brigade community, but also leaves a gap in the hearts of many people.

Franz Baumgartner, who contributed the Haselbach fire truck to the Hart-Albersdorf volunteer fire brigade in 1953, was a living part of the history and development of this institution. Since the foundation of the Haselbach volunteer fire brigade in 1957, it was an integral part and was characterized by his reliable and friendly manner, which made it popular with both young and old.

The merits of Franz go far beyond his personal commitment. As a trained bricklayer, he made a decisive contribution to the construction of the armory - a symbol for the joint efforts of the fire brigade. Even after his active service, he stayed closely connected to the fire brigade and helped at events by warmly welcoming guests.

Franz Baumgartner was honored with numerous awards for his decades. Among other things, he received the Styrian fire service badge in iron, the signs of earnings of the State Fire Brigade Association in the third stage and medals for 25, 40, 50 and 60 years of voluntary work. Most recently, he was awarded the state of Styria for 70 years of active activity in fire and rescue services. These honors emphasize his tireless support and commitment to the community.
