In the Steinhalle Lannach, an interesting meeting took place in mid -October, which was all about drinking water. The information day, organized by the Styrian Water Pension Association (STWV), once again attracted numerous specialists, representatives of the authorities and interested citizens. The event gave everyone involved the opportunity to exchange ideas about current developments and challenges in the field of drinking water supply.
A central topic of the event was the new drinking water regulation 2024, which brings important innovations in drinking water supply. In addition, innovative techniques in management and approaches to analyze water loss were presented. Experts did not miss the opportunity to present their knowledge to almost 500 participants. The large specialist exhibition with over 70 represented companies that presented their latest products and services was remarkable.
growth and interest in further training
The chairman of the Styrian water supply association, Manfred Kanatschnig, was satisfied with the constant rising number of visitors: "The number of participants, rising annually, confirm their willingness to continue their willingness, which in turn arouses the great interest of the exhibitor companies." The event set up two new records: record numbers for the participants and the exhibitor.
The training initiative that fell on the second day of the event celebrated its 15th anniversary and was aimed specifically at smaller drinking water suppliers. The future challenges were illuminated from a legal, technical and organizational point of view. The opening of the initiative was carried out by State Councilor Simone Schmiedtbauer, who emphasized the relevance of the topics: "The nationwide ensuring supply of drinking water is a central question of the future." Her colleague Johann Wiedner, head of the water management department in Styria, emphasized the need for further training and innovation: "The high quality of the Styrian drinking water supply is only possible with future -oriented responsibilities, well -trained personnel and systems at the current state of the art."
With such events, not only raises awareness of the importance of drinking water, but a network is also built up that could be crucial for the future of water supply in the region. Experts and practitioners come together to find solutions for pressing questions and to actively design the care situation.
