Creative hands for a good cause: Advent handicrafts in Wies

In the tranquil meadow, a lot is currently being laughed and tinkered again. The children's council and the youth council have teamed up to start a creative advent project, and numerous committed helpers from the area are already in the process of creating a few fine handicrafts. This initiative offers young people a great way to participate in the community and do something good.

The afternoon, which took place in the town hall of the market town, was a mixture of creativity and conviviality. Under the guidance of the organization, beautiful Christmas cards were designed and various handicrafts were made. "Many thanks go to all those who have committed themselves," said Mayor Josef Waltl. Not only was it creatively worked, but also the joint conversations and the get -together were part of the experience.

The best thing about it: The creative series continues on November 22nd! From 4 p.m., the school kitchen of the elementary school was transformed into a bakery. On this day, the handicraft utensils are exchanged for aprons to bake cookies for a good cause. The organizers hope for numerous supporters who can make a big difference by making their time and talents available.

The results of these creative efforts - both the handicrafts and the freshly baked cookies - will then be sold at the Advent singing in Wies on December 14th. The proceeds of this initiative benefit the Ö3 Christmas miracle, a charitable project that aims to help disadvantaged people during the Christmas season. The participants cordially invite everyone to help shopping and thus support this good cause.

Overall, the project not only makes a creative contribution to the Advent season, but also offers a valuable opportunity for young people to do something together. You get to know the value of teamwork and at the same time learn how fulfilling it can be to work for others. If you have the opportunity, have a look and maybe start a new handicraft group!
