Home game drama: Vorwärts Steyr loses against Deutschlandsberg in the final minute

Steyr. In the last home game of the first half of the season, the SK BMD forward Steyr to the Deutschlandsberger SC. The game took place in the Liwest Arena and was crucial for the SKV's points, which was faced with a difficult challenge due to numerous injuries. Due to the absence of important players such as Mirsad Sulejmanovic, Lukas Prokop, Oliver Filip and Alexander Weinstabl, coach Max Eitl had to fall back on a greatly reduced bank. The game started with great intensity, but it quickly became apparent that both teams were very well defensive. In the tenth minute, Matej Hoic scored the early lead for the guests, but this was not recognized due to an offside position. Just a few minutes later, Vorwärts Steyr received a penalty that Collazo could not use. The goalkeeper Veit von Deutschlandsberg successfully parried the shot. So the game ended with a dramatic 1: 2 for the SKV, which despite great efforts and a strong second half at the end with empty hands. The tactical changes and the team spirit were remarkable, but it was not enough for a point win.
