Bake together for a good cause: biscuit in Preding

in Preding, a small village in the Germanysberg region, a special event took place on Wednesday evening. 22 committed men and women, including numerous members of the ÖVP and municipal councils, gathered in the school kitchen of the middle school to bake Christmas cookies for a charitable purpose.

This initiative is part of the benefit biscuit campaign of the Kleine Zeitung, which is not only supported this year not only by the Burgstall and local farmers. Sissi Stoiser, the municipal farmer, emphasizes the value of the sense of community: "Usually everyone bakes alone, but this year we wanted to promote togetherness and show that you can achieve a lot together."

The preparations run

In the school kitchen there was a lot of hustle and bustle, while the baking ends conjured up a wide variety of delicacies. Memories and traditions came to life when the couple Hans and Barbara Tschampa spoke about how they have been baking these special cookies for the family for 30 years, but this time for people in need.

The selection of cookies is generous - from anisbögerl and nutsecken to balancing acts to vanilla biscuits and Linz eyes. Some volunteers already brought the finished dough with them, which helped save time and let the group work efficiently. Seven -year -old Joschua eagerly helped his mom to cut out the cookies, while Gamal Nassar, represented by his sick wife, made his hands available to support the good cause.

After the work was almost completed, the results were impressive: Around 20 kilograms of cookies are now ready to be sold on November 29 from 2 p.m. in the technical school in Wies.
