Eve of honor in Stainz: Two earned comrades excellent

A special committee meeting of the Stainz Comradeship Association took place in a solemn setting last Friday. The agenda was adjusted without further ado to honor two deserving members of the association. The focus was on the awards for Mario Kühweider and Wilhelm Leitl, whose commitment to the local association was extremely recognized.

Mario Kühweider, a young man of 32, received the iron medal for his ten -year membership in the ÖKB. Chairman Vbgm. In his laudation, Franz Hopfgartner emphasized the important role of Kühweider in the club. As the deputy of the chairman, he not only campaigned for the interests of the local association, but also brings valuable IT knowledge. He has been married since August and has two children. Professionally, Kühweider is head of department at Magna Powertrain in Lannach.

Wilhelm Leitl: Half a century in service

The second honor went to Wilhelm Leitl, who has been a member of the Comradeship Association for 50 years. Chairman Hopfgartner recalled the numerous awards that Leitl received during his membership, including the highest honor of the Styria Association. At a moving moment, he presented him with the gold medal of the local association, which recognizes his long -term merit. A dinner after the honor testified to the appreciation of his fellow campaigners.

A look at the life of Leitl shows that he grew up in parental agriculture in Stallhof. After his school days in Stainz and Graz, he initially worked for a freight forwarder before entering the market town of Stainz in 1968. There he soon took over the position of the head of office. The family man, married to Karla, has also found time in addition to his professional challenges, time to get involved in the Comradeship Association. After 35 years in the municipal service he retired in 2002.

However, his commitment to the community remained unbroken. From 2007 to 2024 he was a treasurer in the Senioren Association of Stainz and is currently wearing the bonded needle in silver and gold and the Cross of Honor in Gold with the numerous awards and honors. His appointment as an honorary member of the Stainz Association during the last general meeting underlines its outstanding importance for the association.

These honors are not only the expression of a thank you for work and commitment, but also an encouragement for the entire member base of the Stainz Comradeship Association, to continue to actively contribute to the community. The appreciation of Mario Kühweider and Wilhelm Leitl shows how important a strong community is on the shoulders of experienced members.
