The moving friendship between Maria and her horse Hope Rising

A touching and emotional story comes from Turnau, which shows how deep the bond between humans and animals can be. Maria "Mary" Wenzel tells of her extraordinary friendship with her horse "Hope Rising", a Canadian warm blood. The story begins in June 2023 when Mary was in Canada and took care of the animals of a horse breeding farm.

During her stay in Canada, she received the tragic news that her best friend had died. To deal with her pain, she looked for comfort on the horse's paddock, where she discovered a newborn foal. Born on the day her best friend died, Mary called the foal "Hope Rising". This special connection was immediately noticeable for Mary and grew with every moment together.

difficult decisions and long ways

After her return to Turnau, Mary decided to do everything possible to get Hope. This decision led to a tedious and costly process that took almost a year. Apart from the financial hurdles, numerous official requirements had to be met, including vaccinations, chip implantations and the organization of transport and quarantine period. "It was an exciting time," recalls Mary.

The owner of the foal, Chris, was initially skeptical, but ultimately agreed to sell Hope Rising for a special price after having witnessed the strong bond between the two. Mary invested a total of around 19,000 euros in transport and formalities. The four-day journey for Hope was a logistical challenge, began with a special horse transport flight and finally ended in Turnau.

When Hope finally arrived in Turnau, the joy was great. Mary describes the reunion as magical and overwhelming. In the meantime, Hope has settled in well and enjoys the dedication of her new owner. Mary takes care of her every day, makes her grooming and slowly gets used to people and cars. "Foal is not allowed to ride in the first two to three years because it is harmful to their growth," explains Mary. She focuses on teaching Hope, going on a leash and building trust in people.

The emotional journey not only gave Mary a new friendship, but also gave her the strength to process her loss. "I find consolation at Hope and it is impressive how close life and death can be together," she says. More details are in a report on www.meinbeinbeit. find.
