Summer evening at Wernberg: Free theater highlights for everyone!

The municipality of Wernberg is preparing for an exciting summer event that is organized with a safe hand. The popular "Porcia"-Theaterwagen will appear on the forecourt of the municipal office and perform two free pieces. Mayor Doris Liposchek emphasizes the importance of cultural events for the community and invites everyone to be touched by art.

On June 27, an exciting double program will take place. At 5:00 p.m. the children's comedy "Die Dizzmühle" will be performed, followed by Heinrich von Kleist's "The Broken Jug" at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are also taken care of: various food and drinks are offered to ensure a relaxed summer evening.

a movable theater game

The ensemble des Theaterwagen porcia understands itself as a moving declaration of love. Angelica Ladurner, a central figure of the ensemble, will appeal to the audience. It emphasizes the need for mobility in the spirit and demands an openness in mind and heart.

In their commitment, the artists address: the connecting in an often separating world. Old and new ideas, feminine and masculine energies as well as seriousness and lightness flow into the performances. This philosophy of combination is the basis for the 11th tour of the theater car, which is reinterpreted as the oldest form of theater.

theater history in context

The meaning of the theater is not only limited to Wernberg. The Max- Herrmann-Dissertationpreis is regularly awarded and shows the relevance of theater in the academic world. This year the price for a dissertation was awarded that deals with the festival culture in Frankfurt around 1900. This award is transferred by a jury that is made up of experts in theater studies.

The recognition of such scientific work illustrates how deeply the theater is rooted in social and cultural development. A small snack after the award ceremony ensures that the exchange and networking in the scientific community are also promoted.
