Terrible family drama: 71-year-old found dead after the shooting attack

A dramatic incident in Ebensee in Upper Austria caused horror on Saturday. A 71-year-old man attacked his 61-year-old ex-wife with a rifle after having planned a move as part of her divorce. So far, the couple's arguments have been limited to verbal conflicts. "The woman has never been injured before, there is no visits to the doctor", as reported. But on this fateful day, the situation escalated: the man threatened his ex-wife and fired three shots in her direction, suffering from the head.

The brave woman managed to snatch the weapon to the attacker and flee from the family home. She was bleeding heavily, but was able to get to the nearby police inspection from Ebensee with her car. Fortunately, she was released in the hospital after treatment. In the meantime, a comprehensive search for the man was initiated after it was unclear whether he was still in the house or had fled. Police forces, including the Cobra operations command, converted the residential building, in which the 71-year-old was finally found lifeless in the garage, with the murder weapon next to him. It is assumed that he committed suicide, as reported ooe.orf.at . An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man. The autopsy is planned for Monday.
