The Klosterneuburg volunteer fire brigade took care of the human rescue, while the Kritzendorf fire brigade regulated the boat and shipping traffic.

The injured people were brought to surrounding hospitals while the fire brigade was rescued. Both boats were significantly damaged, one was partially decreasing. The investigation into the course of the accident is still in progress, and the boats were brought to the bank for securing.
