Strong Salzburg team dominates with Kischarngelschen in St. Jakob
The traditional "Kischarngeln" in St. Jakob in the Ahrntal attracts numerous spectators and participants year after year. On Saturday, October 19, a strong team from Salzburg performed, despite the challenges that the end of the ranking season brings. The motivation of the rankers was high, and this was clearly shown in their performance.
The Piesendorfer were particularly successful in the student category. Out of 53 participants in the various school classes, 21 came from Salzburg, which underlines the strength of the local athletes. Erik Perfal, Matthias Altenberger, Felix Eder and Jakob Höller won in their age groups up to 14 years. Michael Hinterseer from Leogang also contributed a win in the class up to 6 years. Paul Thurner from Saalbach did well for the older students and took third place in the category up to 12 years.success in the youth class
In the age group up to 16 years, Florian Gerstgraser fought from Taxenbach to the final, but lost to Matthäus Gander from Matrei and thus secured second place. In the competition up to 18 years, Rupert Möschl from Bramberg took part in the Passeirer Fabian Hofer. Here Möschl also had to give up while taking second place. Max Kaserer from Bramberg and Lucas Kendler from Saalbach shared third place.
The general classes brought more exciting fights. Christopher Kendler from Saalbach won in class I and thus fulfilled the expectations of the audience. Josef Mair and Simon Steiger from Bramberg competed in class III and reached second and third place, while Martin Pirchner from Taxenbach took second place in class II.
Hagmoar competitions in focus
The student hagmoar was particularly exciting. Jakob Höller from Piesendorf was able to prevail and win the title after he had an exciting fight against Gabriel Mariner from Matrei. Vinzenz Mair from Bramberg met Martin Unterkalmsteiner in the small final, but was eliminated. The youth hagmoar was also dynamic, where Florian Gerstgraser defeated Fabian Hofer in the final and took second place. Matthäus Gander ended the competition in third place.
In general, Hagmoar, the favorites determined the first round, with Christopher Kendler held against Philip Holzer. In the end, Kendler secured a place on the podium with a third place, but kept his nerve with a draw in the duel against Holzer. The final was held between Lukas Mattersberger and Stefan Gastl, with Gastl the victory.
This is how the ranking year will be finalized with a country ranking on Sunday, October 27th. The events will take place in St. Martin in Passeier from 11 a.m. and hope for a lively participation is great.
