Maishofen celebrates the opening of the new, modern community center
in Maishofen, Pinzgau's picturesque, the new community center was inaugurated last Sunday. The opening ceremony attracted numerous citizens who were able to take a look at the modern facilities. The two-storey building not only offers job opportunities for eleven employees, but also houses a community library with over 5,000 media, an exhibition and event room and a wedding room. In addition, the "Anton Faistauer Window" is part of the new center, which makes it a cultural meeting point.
"The community center is a building with a role model for the region," said Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP) during his opening speech. The decision to build the building in wood hybrid construction underlines the approach of regionality, Haslauer continues. The new building, for which around ten million euros were invested, received a support of around 1.1 million euros from the municipal equalization fund, which is managed by Stefan Schnöll, the governor's deputy. This fund serves as a targeted funding instrument for municipalities in Salzburg and has already initiated numerous projects in 2024.
functions of the new community center
Mayor Stefan Aglassinger (ÖVP) emphasized that the new community center should serve as a living center for the municipality in the coming years. The construction began about a year and a half ago, and the goal is to create a modern administrative center that is of central importance for both the citizens and for the administration. The central location and the services offered should help promote the community and to enable an exchange between the citizens.
The new community center in Maishofen is therefore not only an architectural progress, but also a step towards a more lively and service -oriented community. Details about the inauguration and further information are in a current report www.salzburg24.at to read.
