Artist Anton Fercher: Exhibition opens in the Dolomitenbank gallery

In Lienz, the art scene will soon experience a new highlight. The opening of an art exhibition with the work of the Oberkärtner painter Anton Fercher is imminent. On Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Dolomitenbank gallery will open its doors to visitors to present the fascinating pictures of Fercher.

Anton Fercher, born in Lainach, Carinthia in 1956, studied at the renowned Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. There he learned under the direction of Professor Anton Lehmden and Josef Mikl, where he discovered his passion for painting and visual education. Final exams in 1984 paved his way into the artistic world, both in art and in teaching.

In the art of Anton Fercher, two worlds meet: the figurative and the abstract. "My painting moves between figurative, where I create figurative work, and abstract, which can usually be found in my landscapes," explains Fercher. These two styles not only enrich his works, but also the creative process, in which he works with great joy on the parentes of painting - this includes color, shape and structure. His approach shows that a depth of the abstract is often hidden even in objective images.

fercher continues: "Landscapes often arise from memories of nature or are simply inspired by memory." The interaction of both art forms creates a high -contrast area of tension. Visitors to the exhibition can look forward to an impressive experience that both stimulates the imagination and invites you to think.

The exhibition "Painting" will be shown by January 24, 2025. Art enthusiasts and interested parties are cordially invited to look at the works of Anton Fercher in the Dolomitenbank-Galerie, Südtiroler Platz 9 in Lienz. This event not only represents an important contribution to the regional cultural scene, but also offers a valuable opportunity to explore the variety of contemporary painting.
