The World Cup of ski jumpers started with an exciting opening round in Lillehammer in Norwegian. Among the athletes, Eva was Pinkelnig, who, as the best athlete from Austria, took sixth place. The competition was dominated by the Slovenian ski jumper Nika Prevc, who secured her seventh World Cup victory with impressive jumps at 138.5 and 138 meters.

pinkelig was satisfied after her jump and commented in the interview: "The placement is great and the jumps are getting better and better." She also indicated that she had recognized potential for improvement in the mixed competition in the previous week and now went into the competition with more confidence. According to information from www.salzburg24.at, however, she landed around 20 points behind the podium.

Lisa Eder and her nerves

There was further focus on 23-year-old Lisa Eder, who was in a promising fourth place in the first round. Unfortunately, in the second attempt, with a jump to just 118 meters, she could not build on her previous performance. Eder explained that nervous feelings may have affected them: "The nerves certainly played a role, I was a bit nervous."

The other Austrian jumpers joined Eder by also delivering solid services. So Sara Marita Kramer reached 16th place, while Julia Mühlbacher finished 20th. A special incident occurred for Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, which was disqualified due to a non -compliance in the qualification and could therefore not take part in the competition.

With the good performance and another single competition that is on the program on Sunday, it remains to be seen how the athletes will continue to do. The exciting competition already promises a gripping World Cup winter for the ski jumpers. Further details for this are in a detailed report on www.salzburg24.at read.
